Hello, my name is Andrea Ortiz, and today I’m asking for your help to raise money for my significant other’s immigration lawyer. Gustavo is currently detained at the GEO Broward Transitional Center in Pompano Beach. He was detained on November 28, the day after Thanksgiving, while he was working for Uber. At the time, he was trying to earn extra money to buy a few items because he was planning to surprise me with a proposal. During these very difficult moments for me and his family, we have done our best to support him. Unfortunately, the first lawyer we hired turned out to be a scam, and we lost a lot of money.

Gustavo Contreras Davila is truly one of the kindest people you could ever meet. He is caring and connects with everyone he meets. Even while being detained and so close to home, he continues to stay strong and praise God. We have many plans together as a couple, but everything is paused right now because of his detention by ICE. Any help you can provide would mean the world to us and would go toward helping us get the legal support he needs so he can come back home. We are hoping for the day we can see him walk through those doors again after the night he never came home on November 28, 2025.
