Gregorio Calihua-Montiel was known for his cheerful spirit, hard work, and deep sense of responsibility. As a father of five, he was always kind and supportive to those around him. He arrived in the United States full of hope, dreaming of building a better future for his family and one day returning to Mexico to be with his children and meet his granddaughter.
Sadly, after losing his job and facing overwhelming challenges, Gregorio fell into a deep depression. On Friday, March 13th, he was found dead in his apartment, leaving his family and friends in profound sorrow. His passing has left a void in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him.
My husband (Gregorio's brother) and I are organizing this fundraiser to help repatriate his body to Mexico, where his children, wife, mother, and father are waiting with heavy hearts. The funds raised will go toward transportation and funeral costs, allowing Gregorio to return home and be laid to rest among his loved ones. We are deeply grateful for any support you can offer during this difficult time. Your kindness will help us bring Gregorio home to his family. Thank you very much.
