Help bring Gordon Smith home to Canada

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Gordon Thomas Smith on March 16th, after a tragic accident in Colombia. He was visiting for winter cycling training which was his joy and passion. The family is now grieving this unimaginable loss while also trying to return him home to Canada and prepare for end-of-life services. His repatriation incurs extensive costs and red tape and any help with this burden would be so much appreciated by the family.

Gordon was always so full of energy, positivity, and life. He lived each day to the fullest, surrounding himself with friends, family, and a healthy dose of adventure. Always on the move, he often blew in and out of our lives like a gust of wind, with a booming voice, a wild tale, and an impish grin. He made quick friendships wherever he travelled and loved to engage in deep conversation and joyful camaraderie. Words cannot express the void he leaves behind for so many - coworkers, friends, family, and most especially his mother and siblings who are grieved beyond words. He was kind and generous and left this world far too soon.
