Gerardo is the most amazing, hardworking man I’ve known. He loves and cares for his kids more than anything. Our 4-year-old son has been tremendously affected by this.

My husband Gerardo was arrested Thursday night in front of our 4-year-old son. He was supposed to get out Friday, but because of an immigration hold, he wasn’t released and sent to Stewart Detention Center. This has been incredibly hard on our family, especially with our young children. Our 9-month-old daughter has been sick back to back, and also daughter is currently undergoing treatment for kidney problems, which requires ongoing medical care, monitoring, and support. Because of all the doctor appointments and caring for our kids, I haven’t been able to work a full-time job.

We talked to a lawyer to start the process to try to grant my husband a bond. The funds raised will go directly toward legal fees to help bring him home and support our family during this difficult time. We are doing everything we can, but we need help to cover these urgent expenses.
