Help Bring Francoise Makuiza Home
This morning around 6:30 a.m., our family’s life was turned upside down. Francoise Makuiza, a loving wife and devoted mother, was taken by ICE right in front of her own home, in her neighborhood. Her husband was about to drop her off at work when three ICE vehicles stopped their car in front of their house. Within minutes, Francoise was taken away. Her husband was released and left behind in shock and their three sons were left at home, terrified and confused, not knowing when or if their mother will come back.
Francoise is a hardworking, caring woman who has always put her family first. Seeing her taken away from her children so suddenly has caused immense emotional pain and financial hardship for the entire family. We are urgently raising funds to help cover immigration and legal representation fees, bond and court-related costs, emergency household and living expenses, transportation and communication costs, and support for the family while Francoise is detained. This support will help ease the financial and emotional burden on her family and give them hope during this difficult time.
