Forty Winks Further: A Dream You Can Walk Into

Why do we dream? And what happens when our dreams fall into nightmares—when our hopes for the future teeter between wonder and warning?

Forty Winks Further is a large-scale interactive sculpture exploring the boundary between sleep and wakefulness, dreams and fears, imagination and reality. It invites participants into a surreal world—a giant whimsical bed with monsters underneath, where you can walk in, climb on, and explore the stories we tell ourselves while we sleep.

This is a place for reflection, curiosity, play, and collective dreaming. And we need your help to bring it to life at Burning Man 2025.

✨ What It Is

At 18 feet high and 16 feet long, Forty Winks Further will be a striking and immersive art piece that you can literally step into—designed for interaction, wonder, and community. It’s a place to ask:

• What are we dreaming about—personally and collectively?

• What fears lie beneath the surface?

• Are we moving toward a dream—or drifting into a nightmare?

• Can art wake us up in time?

Who We Are

We’re the Full of Tricks crew—a group of friends, artists, builders, DJs, and dreamers who came together in 2024 to create something bigger than ourselves. We believe in making art with our community, for our community.

Collectively, we have decades of art builds, home builds, and unique projects under our (tool) belts. We’re not a funded studio. We’re not a big-name camp. We’re a passionate crew with tools, skills, and stories to share— with a track record of bringing art to the playa and a deep commitment to making even bolder, beautiful art that invites people in.
