I am Kushal Shah , raising funds for my MFA thesis film, Flaw and Order . The film follows an overlooked actor, desperate to prove his worth identifies the real thief in an interrogation room, but to prove it, he must convince a detective who doesn't trust him.

This is a deeply personal film, exploring a father–son dynamic in an unconventional way; between two men who aren’t related, yet find themselves caught in that same push and pull of authority, validation, and understanding.

Meet The Writer/Director:

Kushal Shah is a filmmaker and MFA candidate at SCAD, Atlanta, blending cultural mythology with a modern, stylized cinematic voice. Beginning at FTII and rising to First AD on the globally recognized Sachin, Live from Pune, he has since directed and produced spec campaigns for luxury brands while developing narrative films grounded in character and atmosphere.

Across directing, cinematography, and producing, his work transforms personal and cultural stories into visually driven, universally resonant cinema.

Meet the Cinematographer:

Pranav Abraham is an Atlanta‑based cinematographer who specializes in visual storytelling for short films, music videos, and commercials. He recently served as cinematographer on the short films “Knotted” and “Fostered Deception,” projects he describes as pivotal learning experiences. His career has been self‑directed, progressing through continual skill development despite limited budgets, uncertain projects, and creative blocks.

Meet The Producer:

Daira Moreno is a Mexican filmmaker, actress, motion designer, and producer based in Atlanta, with a strong background in post production. She brings a collaborative and organized approach to every project and is known for her dependability and positive attitude on set. As a student athlete, she brings discipline and leadership, ensuring productions run efficiently from development through final delivery.

How we are using the donations:

We are raising $6,900 to cover the essential costs of producing Flaw and Order. These funds will help us secure the resources needed to create a film that reflects the quality, ambition, and emotional depth of its story.
