Help Us Bring Finding Taron to Life
An indie film about acting, identity, and the connections that change us.
Hi, my name is Angel Kingsley, and I’m the writer and director of Finding Taron, a short film that means the world to me — not just as a storyteller, but as someone who believes in the healing power of art.
Finding Taron is a coming-of-age story about Harry, a young actor who’s struggling to connect with the role of Taron in the film he’s shooting. Everything shifts when he meets Tori — a warm, funny, and vibrant transgender woman who enters his life like a spark. As their bond deepens, Harry’s performance transforms. He begins to pour his real emotions into the role, learning how love, loss, and acting are all intertwined. But when Tori has to move to Maine in the Spring of 2015, Harry is left heartbroken — and yet, more honest in his art than ever before.
This project is about the fleeting people who come into our lives and change us forever. It’s about queer love, chosen connection, and how artists use real pain to create something beautiful.
We’re working with a passionate team of emerging filmmakers who are doing this out of love — many of us donating our time, gear, and energy because we believe in the story. But we still need help covering basic production costs like locations, props, wardrobe, and food for our cast and crew. Every dollar will go directly into making this story shine.
If you’ve ever had someone come into your life for a short time but leave a lasting mark — this film is for you.
Thank you for supporting indie film, queer stories, and young artists chasing something real. We can’t wait to share Finding Taron with you.
