My name is Jasmine and I am creating this GoFundMe account on behalf of my step father Felipe Marroquin.

On the morning of May 22nd 2025, he woke up and got ready for work as usual. Kissed my mother goodbye and left through the front door, only to be detained less than 2 minutes away from home. He immediately called my mother and what was heard in the background was the aggressive tone of ICE officers demanding that he opens the door of his truck. He was not able to speak much with my mother, all he was able to say was that ICE was detaining him and to call his boss to let him know he wouldn’t be going into work. It didn’t take very long after that to find his abandoned truck and to realize how close they were to home.

Outside of working for a contractor, he attends church multiple times a week where he serves in various roles within the ministry. He also visits his family regularly, including his elderly mother. He also contributes financially, not only to his own home, but to his mother’s needs as well. Felipe is far from these “Bad Hombres” and deserves to stay in the United States. We have a fighting spirit, but lack the funds to do so. The estimated costs to get Felipe back home is about $25,000.
