Hi, I'm Emma Herzig, a senior film student at Wayne State University. I am a director, screenwriter, and filmmaker. My thesis film titled, "Fawn in the Narthex," is the culminating film of my educational career.

In drama coming-of-age story, we follow a grieving young woman, Florence, as she reflects on her memories featuring her late friend and love, Charlotte. Told through the contrast of Florence’s cold reality and flashbacks of her warm past, it all leads to a fragmented climax where she comes face to face with Charlotte’s grave for the first time in a moment of intense catharsis.

To do this, my crew and I need your help! With your donation, we can execute a professionally made short film prior to graduating in the spring. This project has been in the works for months now and we are so ecstatic to bring it to life.
