Hi, I'm Layana Aguilar, Project Runway alum and founder of Fashion Squad School. For five years, I've watched children transform through the power of fashion design. At Fashion Squad School, we don't just teach sewing—we teach children to believe in themselves. Our students get the full designer experience: choosing fabrics, sketching original designs, using real sewing machines, creating full outfits, modeling in photoshoots, and even walking in real runway shows.

Parents tell me every week, "My child has never felt more confident." "This is the first time she's felt truly seen." "My son used to be shy—now he beams with pride after each class." Creativity heals. Confidence empowers. Every child deserves a place that makes them feel capable, celebrated, and extraordinary.

Families have been asking for an Upper East Side location, and now it's finally time. I'm raising funds to build a beautiful creative studio, buy sewing machines and materials, hire and train educators, and offer scholarships to families in need. As an immigrant from a small town in Brazil, sewing changed my life. Fashion Squad School is my way of giving that gift to the next generation.
