I am so grateful for the donations, shares, and kind words. I sure appreciate you and your efforts. We are not all the way there yet but my story and mission seem to be resonating at some level with people.

Coffee, cookies, and facts on the backroads of Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas — that’s the plan. Presented with purpose, humor, and connection — one conversation at a time, one red county at a time, focused on facts/outcomes and maybe get more purple and blue in their thought processing of specific issues. Even a few people per county starting to think in their best interests will be a positive result. From there who knows? Maybe it gets a little contagious?

A Stage 4 Road Trip For Democracy

Like millions of Americans, I’m sickened by the lawless Republican takeover. Our democracy is in the gravest of danger — and time is running out.

In February, I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that had spread to my bones and spine. Doctors said I might have a year, maybe two left to live. That was eight months ago.

So instead of waiting for the end, I’m choosing to end with meaning. I can still drive, sit, walk a bit, think clearly, and speak clearly — so I will.

The Plan

I’m heading to Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas, county by county, to talk face-to-face with Republican voters. Just me, a Get rrr Done Party of America banner, two chairs, a table, coffee, cookies, and the facts.

I’ll set up in a county seat, sit with anyone willing to talk, and have real, human conversations about facts, priorities, and what’s at stake. The only rule is they have to sit down and talk to qualify for cookies and coffee.

You can’t grow cotton without seeds — and this mission is about planting them.

Why Mississippi?

Mississippi is the poster child for failed governance — ranked last in education and near the bottom in every quality of life category. Surely some families there want better. I’m going to encourage them to vote in their own interests — for their kids, for their futures, for all of us.

Mission Launch Date: November 11th

I ride at dawn to the great state of Mississippi. I have a couple nicknames for my mission. 1) The "Gulf of America" Tour, and my personal favorite, 2) "I'm supposed to be in Europe" Tour. It's going to be crazy and interesting.

Videos and Pictures: I will be sending out videos and pictures from the backroads of Mississippi for people to follow along. Get a glimpse of what rural life in Dixie looks like. I think the mission will be fascinating and most definitely worthy of your support.
