Help Bring 'Everybody's Gonna Die' to Life - NYU Thesis Film

THE STORY
Everybody's Gonna Die follows 12-year-old Frances at her grandmother's funeral reception, where her existential fears manifest as a bizarre illness. As she observes the adults around her grieving differently, she begins to pick at her skin—only to find glittering pink slime oozing out of her instead of blood. This surreal journey of self-discovery culminates with Frances experiencing her first period, marking her transformation into womanhood amidst the backdrop of loss.

WHY THIS STORY MATTERS
This story was inspired by the love of my Nana and the collective loss my family experienced when she passed away. Through this loss, I experienced firsthand how unprocessed grief can manifest in the body. This NYU thesis film explores the physical language of loss through a child's eyes. What begins as a personal story opens into a universal exploration of how families navigate death, growing up, and the ways we learn to say goodbye. Through Frances's eyes, we'll capture that delicate moment when childhood innocence confronts mortality.

YOUR SUPPORT
In order to bring this film to life, we need your help. All donations will be going towards our production, including food for the cast and crew, transportation, production design, post-production, and festival submission fees.
An extremely exciting aspect of this production is that we will be shooting at my own home with many family members and friends! Your donations will help keep our crew comfortable and fed, giving us the energy to make this film something special.

THE PRODUCERS
We have the cutest group of producers that NYU has ever seen. Maddie Berry, Alyssa's partner in crime, has produced over 50 films throughout her time at film school. She is extremely talented and dedicated to this project, we are very lucky to have her on our team. Evan, Andrew, and Lex are Maddie's little minions, dedicated to helping her and Alyssa in preproduction to help set go smoothly. What a great team!
Our Director of Photography, Nicole Bula, has gaffed on many professional and student sets and is a huge asset to our production. Nicole and Alyssa have been working hard to recruit the best and most talented crew who are ready to work! All crew positions have officially been locked already. Shooting will take place in North Reading, MA from February 28-March 2.

JOIN OUR JOURNEY
This story is a love letter to my family and Nana who have shown me the strength and power of unconditional love. All family and friends have been invited onto set to play extras and actors, as this film wouldn't be possible without them. Their presence makes this project uniquely authentic and deeply personal. I hope you will donate whatever you can to help make this dream a reality.
