Our family is heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved father, Ernesto Comilang Sr.
Ernesto traveled to the United States from the Philippines on a religious pilgrimage, a journey inspired by his deep and unwavering faith and his love for God. While in Las Vegas, he became ill and was diagnosed with cancer. With hope in his heart and the support of his family, he traveled to South Carolina with one of his children to seek specialized care.
Despite his courage and steadfast faith through his suffering, Ernesto peacefully answered God’s call and passed from this life. In his final moments, he was surrounded by loved ones, who held his hands, prayed with him, and gave him comfort and love as he was welcomed into eternal rest. While we grieve deeply, we are grateful that he was not alone and that he was embraced by family in his final moments.
Ernesto was a man of extraordinary faith, devotion, and sacrifice. He trusted in God through every season of his life and worked tirelessly to pursue the American dream for his family. Everything he did was rooted in love—for his children, his grandchildren, and the future he hoped to help build for them. His strength, humility, and unwavering devotion will forever live on in all of us.
Our greatest wish now is to honor his life and his faith by bringing him home to the Philippines, so he can be laid to rest in his homeland, surrounded by loved ones and the community that shaped him.
Unfortunately, the cost of international repatriation and funeral arrangements is significant, and we are humbly asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward bringing Ernesto home and giving him the dignified and faith-filled farewell he deserves.
If you are unable to donate, we kindly ask that you share this page and keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Help us bring him home.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, generosity, and prayers.
The Comilang Family
