It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved friend, Erika Marine (née Erika Viviana Moreira Garrido), who left us far too soon under heartbreaking circumstances. She was a bright, capable, and deeply intelligent woman, admired for her talents and her kind heart.

Her family’s greatest wish is to bring her home to Guatemala, so that she can rest in peace among her loved ones. Unfortunately, the costs of repatriation and funeral arrangements are overwhelming, and her family cannot carry this burden alone.

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and all those moved by her story, to help us give her the dignity of a final farewell. Every contribution—no matter the amount—will go directly to covering the costs of sending Erika back to Guatemala and supporting her grieving family.
