My cousin, Erick Geoavani Macario, passed away unexpectedly in his room. His main family—his children, wife, parents, brothers, and sisters—are all in Guatemala. Because they cannot travel to the United States, they are unable to arrange his funeral or bring him home. Erick’s family wishes to give him a final goodbye and bury him close to where they can visit, put flowers, and honor his memory.

This fundraiser is to help cover the costs of funeral arrangements and transportation for Erick to return to his family in Guatemala. The funds raised will make it possible for his loved ones to say their final goodbye and lay him to rest in a place where they can remember him and keep his memory alive.
