Enwin, my partner, was arrested and detained by ICE while he was simply grocery shopping. This fundraiser is being conducted to pay for his legal expenses as we work toward his release. Enwin is a kind and caring man who has a dream of starting a non-profit charity to support those living in extreme poverty in his country of birth, Venezuela. Since coming to the United States, Enwin has been upright and responsible, filing all of his legal paperwork correctly and attending every immigration hearing. He has no criminal record and no warrants issued for his arrest.

Enwin has built a network of friends and community here. In addition to his loving partner, he also has bonded with friends at work, in the community, and at a local church that he attends. Enwin enjoys spending time with friends, and is known for bringing delicious Venezuelan food that he prepared from scratch to share with others.

Enwin cannot return to Venezuela due to his sexual orientation, which puts him at risk in his home country. The funds raised here will go directly toward his legal expenses, giving him the chance to continue his life here and pursue his dream of helping others.
