Help Bring ENGRAMMA to Life – A Graduation Film About Memory
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Martina and I’m a film directing student at MetFilm School, Berlin.
I'm raising funds to make my final graduation film, ENGRAMMA: a short, intimate story that explores how memory can both preserve and imprison us. This is not just a school project. It's a deeply personal journey rooted in themes that I’ve carried with me for a long time: emotional paralysis and the fragile line between remembering and letting go.
ENGRAMMA follows a young woman who, overwhelmed by sadness, retreats into her memories. In a quiet park where time feels suspended, she relives the moments that once brought her joy, pain, and connection. But the more she hides in the past, the more distant the present becomes. Until one moment; subtle, human, and honest helps her begin to move forward.
This project represents the culmination of my studies and my growth as a filmmaker. I’m directing a small but passionate team of creatives, and we aim to shoot the film with care, intimacy, and respect for the story’s emotional weight.
WHY I NEED YOUR HELP
Film production is expensive, even for a short film. Your donation will go directly to covering the essential costs of bringing this story to life, including:
- Set design & location rental
- Costumes & props
- Transport for the crew and equipment
- Post-production
MY GOAL
Once completed, I want to submit ENGRAMMA to short film festivals across Europe and internationally, to give this personal story the space and audience it deserves.
Every contribution helps. Whether it’s €5 or €50, your support means the world to me. And if you can’t donate right now, sharing this campaign is already a huge help.
Thank you for believing in young independent cinema and in stories that come from the heart.
With love and gratitude,
Martina
