Help Bring Emery Home

As some of you may know, baby Emery was hospitalized back in October for Bacterial Meningitis, which led to a brain bleed. He spent one month In the Hospital fighting for his life. During this time, Ryan and Elodie took a hard financial hit, going down to living off one income. They managed to get by on their own, never asking for assistance from anyone. While Emery was in the hospital, Child protective services were called due to his age and having a brain bleed. Ryan and Elodie fully cooperated knowing that it was standard protocol with a child unable to speak. After one long month of living in a hospital room, we were happy to see Emery head home a healthy boy! Elodie had to continue to not work so she could keep a close eye on Emery and administer his antibiotics through a PIC line. He quickly regained his strength, and has been doing really well with the love and support from his parents and big brothers. Although the hospital stay set him back a little in crawling, he has been getting stronger and more coordinated each day. On January 25, 2017 Emery was attempting to crawl and bonked his forehead on his crib. Due to the recent events, Ryan and Elodie felt it was best not to take a chance and took him to the ER to make sure everything was okay. The Doctor told them everything was fine and that it was nothing major.  To be extra cautious, Ryan and Elodie informed the CPS social worker they had been in contact with. By doing everything they were supposed to do, they lost Emery. CPS removed Emery from their home on February 7, 2017. As you can imagine, Ryan and Elodie are completely devastated. They are fighting with everything they have to get Emery back. They have a long legal road ahead. We are currently trying to help them to get a lawyer, but they are financially limited. They would never ask for help and that is why we felt compelled to start this Go Fund Me to relieve some of the financial stress this has caused. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. These are two amazing and loving parents who have been completely blindsided by this whole experience. If you aren’t able to help financially, please share this. Everything and anything helps! Let’s get Emery home where he belongs.
