My family is heartbroken after losing my grandmother, Elsa Alvarado. She was a loving, strong woman who faced so much in her life. Three years ago, Elsa was diagnosed with breast cancer. She bravely went through chemotherapy and, for a time, she beat the disease. Our family was so grateful for her strength and resilience.

Sadly, after a year of remission, the cancer returned in her bones. It was devastating to watch her go through so much pain. The cancer became so aggressive that it broke her hip, and she needed a hip replacement. Despite everything, Elsa continued to fight, but over time, her health declined and we had to say goodbye. These were the hardest moments our family has ever faced.

We are now raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and to send Elsa back to her home country. She has a daughter and family there who have not seen her in nearly 30 years. It is our greatest wish to reunite them one last time and honor Elsa’s memory in the way she deserves.
