Help Bring ELO Into the World
Every once in a while, you meet someone whose gift is so undeniable that you know it must reach more people.
That happened to me in the high desert of New Mexico.
Among the beautiful souls gathered there was a woman from Finland named Magdalena. We had both traveled to this sacred ceremony site in New Mexico to support dear friends through their Vision Quest journeys.
She spoke of her love of singing. I witnessed her love of nature, beauty and life itself—a love that felt familiar to me.
Then I heard her sing.
Magdalena, who creates music as Vaskilintu, is channeling something more.
Her voice carries something ancient, intimate and profoundly alive. Singing indigenous songs in ceremonies, healing gatherings, medicine conferences and retreats, she doesn't simply entertain—she invites people into remembrance.
Her music has the rare ability to quiet the mind and open the heart.
During our time together, she shared a dream she had quietly carried for years: to create her first professionally recorded album.
When she spoke about it, I felt an unmistakable spark.
Before I left New Mexico, I looked her in the eyes and said, "You have to make this record. It's so important."
She was overcome with emotion. Tears welled up in her eyes—not because someone had promised to fund it, but because someone truly believed this music deserved to exist in the world.
That moment has stayed with me.
I believe this album is bigger than one artist's dream. I believe it is an offering for all of us.
Her debut album, ELO is a thirteen-track journey into the force of life, the human voice and the cyclical breathing of nature. From the first breath to the rhythms of living existence, it is an invitation to remember our connection with ourselves, with one another and with the living Earth.
Creating an album of this quality requires professional musicians, studio recording, engineering, mixing and mastering. Like so many independent artists whose work serves something greater than themselves, resources have been the only thing standing between this vision and its realization.
If you've ever been moved by MUSIC that heals, connects or reminds you of something timeless, I invite you to help bring ELO into the world.
Your contribution isn't simply supporting an album.
You're helping bring songs of beauty, wisdom and life into the world—and allowing them to reach people far beyond the places where Magdalena can sing them in person.
Please take a moment to watch Vaskilintu's video below. I believe once you hear her heart—and her invitation—you'll understand why this project matters so deeply.
With gratitude,
Bettie
For years, Magdalena has carried a dream of creating her first professionally recorded album, ELO, a thirteen-track journey inspired by the force of life, the human voice, and the cyclical breathing of nature. The vision is clear, but the resources to bring it to life have been out of reach. Donations to this fundraiser will help cover the professional musicians, studio recording, engineering, mixing, and mastering needed to make the album a reality. If Magdalena’s story speaks to you, or if you have ever been moved by MUSIC that heals and connects, please consider supporting this fundraiser. Every contribution helps bring ELO into the world and preserve songs filled with beauty, wisdom, and life for generations to come.
With our support the album is planned for release in Spring 2027. ✨
