Eliberto was more than just my uncle he was a loving father and a cherished part of our family. One of my fondest memories is of him waiting at my bus stop when I was younger, picking me up and carrying me home. His kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew him, especially his daughter and our entire family.

Recently, we faced the heartbreaking loss of Eliberto. Our family’s greatest wish is to honor his memory by bringing him back to his home country, where he can be laid to rest surrounded by loved ones and family traditions. Unfortunately, the costs of transporting him and arranging a burial are more than we can manage alone. My mom and his mom are doing everything they can, but the financial stress is overwhelming during this already difficult time.

We are reaching out for help from our community and anyone who feels moved by Eliberto’s story. It is especially important to my grandma that her son be buried in his homeland.
