Originario de Pocohil Segundo, Chichicastenango, Guatemala, Edwin se mudó a Nueva York en busca de una vida mejor, viviendo con su hermano mientras el resto de su familia permanecía en Guatemala. Era conocido por su amabilidad, su espíritu cálido y la profunda conexión que forjó con quienes lo rodeaban. Su repentino fallecimiento ha dejado a sus amigos y familiares desconsolados, especialmente al enfrentar el desafío de estar separados por la distancia en estos momentos difíciles.
La familia de Edwin en Guatemala desea traerlo a casa para que puedan enterrarlo y honrar su memoria en el lugar donde creció. Desafortunadamente, ni su hermano en Nueva York ni su familia en Guatemala cuentan con todos los recursos económicos necesarios para cubrir los costos de enviar el cuerpo de Edwin de regreso a su país de origen. Los gastos de transporte, arreglos funerarios y entierro son considerables, y la familia está luchando por encontrar la manera de darle a Edwin la despedida que merece.

He was known for his kindness, his warm spirit, and the deep connections he made with those around him. His sudden passing has left his friends and family heartbroken, especially as they face the challenge of being separated by distance during this difficult time.
Edwin's family in Guatemala wishes to bring him home so they can lay him to rest and honor his memory in the place where he grew up. Unfortunately, neither his brother in New York nor his family in Guatemala have the full financial means to cover the costs of sending Edwin's body back to his home country. The expenses for transportation, funeral arrangements, and burial are significant, and the family is struggling to find a way to give Edwin the farewell he deserves.
