Edgar did everything right. He came to the U.S. seeking assylum and did what he was told to do only to be taken from his family in early February as he went to his Immigration appointment and never walked back out.

His family waited for him and all that returned was his wallet. There was no explanation.

ICE detained Edgar and took his Social Security card and Work Permit. They also took his 18 year old daughter’s Work Permit.

He is now being held in a Virginia detention facility. He has a hearing March 9th. His family needs legal representation.

His daughter Fernanda is 18 and a senior in High School. She is an excellent student. She wants what all kids do. She wants to go to college, work and get her driver’s license. His son Eduardo is 16 and a High School Junior. He is having a hard time because he is close to his father. Fernanda worries about her brother and tries to help him.

These kids lost their sole parent. They are living with family and no longer have their father’s income to help with bills the relatives are incurring. The costs are mounting up.

Every dollar raised here goes toward:

*Day to day living expenses for Fernanda and Eduardo

*Supporting the relatives who are now carrying this family

These kids aren’t asking for much. They just want their dad back. They were all working on obtaining Visas and are here seeking Asylum.

Edgar hizo todo bien. A principios de febrero, fue a su cita de inmigración y no volvió a salir.
