My name is Jessica Elaine Blinkhorn, and I’m raising funds to support both myself and the nationwide presentation of DOGEWALKER—a live, performative protest rooted in disabled, queer, and marginalized identities.

Our next performance takes place in New York City on May 28, 2025, at Washington Square Park, and from there, we hope to bring this piece to cities across the country throughout the summer.

This campaign supports the continuation of DOGEWALKER and ensures that I, as the lead artist and organizer, can participate fully and safely. I use a wheelchair and require complete care, so part of these funds will go toward extended care pay and accessibility-related needs. Additional funds will cover compensation for performers, day-of expenses, and travel costs for out-of-town performances.

It’s evident that hate can be lucrative—but I’m asking for my community to fund creativity, passion, and change.

DOGEWALKER is punk rock protest art. It’s about reclaiming agency—about disabled and marginalized people taking back public space, rewriting narratives, and creating pathways toward justice, connection, and healing. We hold space for people who want to grow, who want to do better, and who believe in collective transformation.

This work is also a confrontation with political power. DOGEWALKER reminds elected officials that they are civil servants—not rulers. It’s a mirror, a call to humility, and a demand for real action on behalf of the communities they’re meant to serve.

I’ve received hate for this work in the past, especially online. But if I’m going to be targeted anyway, I’d rather stand in truth and hold out for love.

Any amount you give helps bring DOGEWALKER to more cities, pays disabled and queer performers fairly, covers care and travel costs, and helps document the impact of this evolving work. Should we exceed our goal, additional funds will be donated to grassroots activist groups and disability justice organizations doing critical work in their communities.
