On February 23, 2026, our family’s life changed in a way we never could have expected. After more than a year of fighting to prove his innocence, DJ Moore was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a crime he maintains he did not commit.

What makes this even harder to understand is that all parties involved—including his attorney, the county attorney, and the Department of Corrections—had agreed to a resolution that did not include jail time. Acting on the advice of counsel, DJ accepted that agreement. Yet on the day of sentencing, that outcome was overturned, and he was instead given a decade-long sentence.

We immediately took action. A bond appeal was filed, and at the March 11 hearing, both the county attorney and public defender agreed that DJ should be released on a signature bond while the case continues. However, the decision was postponed without a clear timeline, leaving him incarcerated and our family in limbo.

DJ is a devoted father and husband. His absence is deeply felt every single day. We are now working to secure bond money so he can continue to fight for his innocence and pursue every available path toward justice from home.
