Help bring Dillon home

Many of you know that my nephew, Dillon, age 27, lost his mom Martha in 2020 and stepdad Darryl in 2022. They all lived in Las Vegas, Nevada. In October 2021, Dillon entered the hospital for a (now stable) heart condition, and while there, he contracted Covid. Not until Dillon recovered and was ready to be released did the hospital find out that Darryl had passed in January 2022, and no one has been able to come get Dillon. He has been at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas ever since. Unfortunately, Dillon's underlying conditions have left him unable to care for himself or to be released without a caretaker, and there is no other family in Las Vegas to take him.

I was recently named as Dillon's guardian, and I want to bring him home to Texas. I have just about everything lined up for him to get here, but the judge has required that we use medical transportation to bring him home. Using such transportation will be the safest and most comfortable way to transport him, but it is pricey! The cost of the move is around $12,000. We've been very fortunate to have found a donor to cover the first half, but we need a little help with the rest.

If we are fortunate enough to receive more than necessary for the move, the excess funds will be used to replace Dillon's personal items, which were lost when Darryl's apartment was emptied after his death. I'm currently working on replacing all of Dillon's clothes, toys, and hygiene items.
