Orlando is starting this fundraiser for Diego Gavilanez, a dear friend whose sudden passing has left so many people heartbroken. On Sunday morning, Diego was riding his bicycle to the store when he was run over and tragically lost his life. Everyone who knew Diego knew what a special person he was. He was always happy, hardworking, and deeply respectful. Orlando says he had never met someone as respectful as Diego, and that kind of kindness is something that will never be forgotten. Diego was a wonderful friend and a great person who has left a painful void in the lives of those who loved him.

This fundraiser is being created to help repatriate Diego’s body to Ecuador so he can be brought home with dignity and laid to rest by loved ones. Orlando is reaching out to friends, family, and anyone moved by Diego’s story to please open their hearts and support this effort in the love of God.
