We received a call on March 5 that my son Derrick was in the ICU and wasn't getting better.We rushed from Texas to Tennessee to be by his side, unpon speaking with the doctor we was informed Derrick suffered a seizure that led to cardiac arrest, and was without oxygen for over 20 minutes until EMS arrived. This resulted in severe brain injury, My son fought for a week & on March 12 Derrick gained his wings just a year after his father Bryan.

This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family. We are now faced with the unexpected expenses of Derrick's cremation, bringing him back to Texas from Tennessee, and holding a memorial service to honor his memory. The costs are overwhelming, and we are reaching out for support to help us give Derrick the farewell he deserves.
