My name is Jessy Di Zio, and I'm raising funds for my cousin, David Ardila—a Venezuelan music artist, DJ, and one of the kindest, most generous people I know.

On Friday, July 10, while returning home to Seattle through Boston Logan Airport, David was unexpectedly detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

It was a dream of his to attend a World Cup game; an event built to bring people together in shared, peaceful celebration.

He is now being held in a detention facility and is facing an urgent immigration legal process where early representation makes a serious difference. We are working to retain experienced immigration counsel as quickly as possible so that David has the strongest possible support moving forward.

David came to the United States with a simple dream: to build a life through hard work, create a better future, and to share music with the world. He has contributed to his community, paid his taxes, worked for leading companies in Seattle, and found the courage to pursue his true passion full-time: creating music that brings people together.

If you've ever heard David play, or just shared a laugh with him, you know exactly what I mean. His warmth, generosity, and joy come through in everything he does and all he creates. To those who love him, he’s family. To the people who've just met him, he somehow already feels like family too.

He's the friend who shows up for people, brings strangers together, and makes everyone around him feel accepted and welcome.
