On September 21 2025 while camping near island lake in the Crowsnest Pass Alberta, the unthinkable happened and Darius MacDougall went missing.
RCMP was promptly called and many volunteers with search and rescue were deployed. The official search was called off after just 11 days and no amber alert was ever released.
Family, friends, volunteers and those who have had ability to search have dedicated on-going hours to continue to search.
The community has had on-going requests for
•car decals
• posters
• signs such as billboards
• inquires as to rewards offered
unfortunately without the help of the community these costs are 100% left on family and their immediate support groups which at this time all work pay check to pay check as the majority of society does.
we are at this time looking for
•assistance to help get any family back to the Mountian to look as needed as this commute is a few hours every time.
• for posters to hand out
• stickers to hand out
• car decals
• possibility of billboards
• assistance for vigils
and any other immediate needs that will continue to raise awareness, meet community expectations and most importantly bring Darius home!
we understand $10,000
is a high amount. But please understand that you the community are asking us to put a reward for his return. If we are able to supersede the current goal to offer a substantial amount we are happy to do so.
