Hello,

I am writing in an effort to help a good friend who has been providing inspiration to the community for years through his iconic imagery:

Darin Back.

Darin suffered an unexpected major medical incident. This medical condition resulted in a weakened and compromised physical state, which may take up to a year to resolve.

Although Darin still "has the eye" for capturing those iconic images we all have come to know and love, his physical limitations result in not only physical exhaustion but mental and emotional exhaustion, as well.

He has attempted to recover on his own and believed that his healing and recovery would be quick (the incident happened just before Thanksgiving 2024). Much to his disappointment, his healing and recovery did not happen "overnight" as he had hoped.

Darin has exhausted all personal resources.

He has no health insurance, so of course, the hospital and doctor bills are flooding the mailbox.

He is unable to drive.

Therefore, he is unable to produce and earn a living as done previously.

It is only now, given the current dire straits, that this call for help is being put out there.

Darin not only needs to begin to pay for routine, intensive physical and cognitive therapy but he also needs to continue to pay for required prescriptions vital to his health (e.g., anti-seizure medications, overactive nerve and muscle relievers, etc.), along with those pesky little things like rent, electricity, and food.

Without the help of the community of which Darin has been a part for so long, he stands to lose everything, perhaps forever...

Please help Darin get back to "Darin" again!
