On January 20, 2026, in the early hours of the morning, my cousin Daniel Granados was taken by ICE agents while he was working his lawn service job. He did not resist—despite the fear and sadness in his eyes, Daniel quietly complied, placing his weed-whacker on the ground then he was handcuffed and placed in the vehicle. Daniel is a very quiet, timid person—a man of few words, always humble and generous, working hard to provide for his family.
Daniel’s sudden detention has left his family devastated and uncertain about the future. He is the main provider for his loved ones, and his absence has created both emotional and financial hardship. We are deeply worried about his well-being while he is in the detention center, and we want to do everything we can to support him and his family during this incredibly difficult time.
We are reaching out to our community and beyond, asking for help to bring Daniel back home and to support his family while he is detained. Your kindness and generosity will go directly toward securing legal representation for Daniel and helping his family manage daily expenses in his absence. Any support you can offer will make a meaningful difference in their lives. Thank you for standing with us and for Daniel.
