Help Bring "Cycles" to Life at the Chain Theatre THIS JULY!!
Donation protected
Cycles is an original play exploring how love, loss, and survival ripple across generations of Black women. Told through two timelines, it follows a daughter trying to break free from the same emotional wounds her mother once endured.
We're producing this show THIS JULY at the Chain Theatre in NYC for their One-Act Summer Festival, with performances on July 11, 17, and 19. Your support will directly pay our actors, designers, and creative team—artists who are pouring their whole hearts into this work with just weeks to make it happen.
THE URGENCY:
We need to raise funds by July 19th to pay our cast and crew. This isn't a distant dream—it's happening in 3 weeks, and we need your support NOW.
What We Need & Where Your Money Goes:
We're raising $5,000 to cover:
✊ Actor & crew stipends (our top priority)
Rehearsal space rentals
Production materials (costumes, props, set pieces)
Why This Story Matters Right Now:
Cycles was written for the women who carried silence in their bones and the ones who refused to pass it down. In a time when Black women's stories are more vital than ever, this production creates space for voices that rarely get the spotlight.
This is theater made by community, for community. With your help, we'll tell this story with the depth, care, and compensation our artists deserve.
Your Impact:
$50 funds actor travel stipends for two weeks
$150 pays for costume materials for one actor
$200 covers a designer's stipend
$300 covers a full actor stipend
Every donor receives heartfelt gratitude, show updates, and the knowledge that Black women's stories are being told with dignity and fair compensation.
No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.
