Anyone who has worked with Coach George Cleare knows he is more than a coach, he’s a mentor, a voice of confidence, and someone who makes everyone around him better. For athletes and staff at Louisiana Tech, Coach Cleare has been a source of guidance, discipline, and genuine care. He invests in people, celebrates the small victories, and believes in his athletes long before they believe in themselves.
We would like to help Coach Cleare with legal expenses for his relocation. Coach Cleare is embarking on a new chapter as he relocates back to Louisiana Tech University. To make this transition possible, he requires assistance with legal fees associated with this move.
Your support will help cover these necessary legal costs so Coach Cleare can continue his important work and contribution to athletics and education. Any donation, big or small, will make a meaningful difference.
Thank you for your generosity and support during this time. All funds raised will go directly toward covering the costs related to obtaining his visa, which is the final step standing between him and his return to the LA Tech family, where he is truly missed.
In just a few seasons, Coach Cleare has helped elevate our sprints and jumps program to new heights. Since 2024, he has guided over 20 athletes to NCAA East Regional qualifications, as well as Oscar Smith’s trip to the NCAA Championships after a record-breaking and nationally recognized hurdling season. Under Coach Cleare’s leadership, athletes have also earned several top-10 program marks and CUSA medals. His relay groups have produced multiple school records, with more to come this season.
Before joining LA Tech, Coach Cleare built an impressive career across the NCAA and international competition. He has coached Olympians, SEC champions, NCAA champions, and national record-setters. He served as head coach for the Bahamas at both the World Championships and the Olympic Games, leading athletes to multiple medals, including a silver at the 2016 Olympics.
Despite his long list of accomplishments, Coach Cleare remains humble and committed to helping young athletes grow: not just as competitors, but as people.
It’s important to our entire program to have Coach Cleare back before track season begins. We have a talented group of athletes who have already benefited from his leadership, and having him here from the start of the season would make a meaningful difference.
If Coach has impacted your life, or if you want to support someone who has dedicated his career to lifting others, please consider donating or sharing this campaign.
As Coach Cleare always reminds us, “How you do anything is how you do everything.” We hope this effort reflects the same dedication and support he’s always shown to others. Thank you for helping bring Coach Cleare back to Louisiana Tech, back to his athletes, and back to the community that values him so much.
