After the death of his mother, Cliff Latham and his wife, Vicki, were travelling to help settle the family affairs surrounding her death and funeral. While in Illinois, Cliff quite suddenly became very seriously ill. He was taken to St. John's Hospital in Springfield, where Cliff and his wife were told that he'd had two brain aneurysms. He requires constant medical care, and is far from his home in San Antonio, TX. Cliff and Vicki have been told that if he is to make the journey back home, he'll need a respiratory specialist and a nurse to accompany him for the entire trip. The estimate for his transportation and medical care on the journey is over $20,000.
