Help Bring Claude Home

My name is Will Mosley, and I am seeking help for my brother-in-law, Claude, an asylum seeker from Gabon who was recently detained by ICE while simply trying to live and work legally in the United States. Claude came to the U.S. to escape dangerous conditions in Gabon and applied for asylum through the legal process. He has followed every rule: he submitted his asylum application, waited for approval, and obtained a valid work permit so he could support himself and contribute to his community while his case is pending. He has no criminal record and has done everything the right way.

In addition to being an asylum seeker, Claude is married to an American citizen, my sister. Their marriage is genuine and loving, built on shared values, hard work, and the dream of building a life together in safety. They have been gathering documents and navigating the complicated immigration system in good faith, hopeful that his status could be resolved and they could move forward as a normal family.

Despite all of this, ICE agents detained Claude at his workplace and took him into custody. He was not hiding; he was not breaking any laws. He was showing up for work, as he does every day.

Since then, our family has been thrown into crisis. My sister is now alone, terrified, and facing mounting expenses to fight for his release and to keep their household afloat.

We are raising funds to cover:
• Immediate and ongoing immigration attorney fees, including bond hearings and representation in his asylum and marriage-based case.
• Travel and communication costs to stay in contact with Claude while he is held in detention, which is often far from home.
• Living expenses for his wife, who suddenly lost their primary income and is struggling to pay for rent, utilities, food, and basic needs while dealing with this trauma.
• Any filing fees and documentation costs related to his immigration and asylum process. Our biggest hope is that Claude will be granted bond, reunited with his wife, and allowed to continue his case from home rather than a detention center.

To do that, we urgently need an experienced immigration attorney and the resources to keep fighting. Every dollar helps; no amount is too small. If you are not able to give, sharing this campaign is another powerful way to support. Claude is not just a case number. He is a caring husband, a hard worker, and a loved member of our family, and we are fighting to bring him back home.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with our family during this painful time. Your support, whether through donating or sharing, means more than we can express. Together, we hope to bring Claude home, preserve his marriage and life, and prove that compassion and justice still have a place in this country.
