Chris was my baby brother, loved by many, and had so much love to give. Life was hard for him, but he was always trying to make his own way and figure things out. Even when things were tough, he tried to make people smile and laugh. I remember once I liked a sweater he bought, and he gave it to me without hesitation—he was just that kind of person.

Recently, Chris passed away in California, far from his family in Oregon. Our entire family is here, and we want to bring him home so we can say goodbye and lay him to rest. The costs to get him to the mortuary in California, transfer him to Oregon, and then cover his burial and funeral are more than we can manage on our own.
