Everyone’s invited! You know Charlie as the friendly and fiery pink unicorn that roams the desert spreading love and bumping the best beats. From the Unicorn Rampage to sunrises at the Trash Fence, Charlie has been filling up the love cups of a generation of Burners and friends old and new. Our goal is to get Charlie back to his most magical and sparkly self for his last ride in BRC 2022!

Since 2011, Charlie and his merry band of unicorns have brought Candy Mountain’s magical joy to the playa each summer. In his off seasons, he has served as a bright beacon of inclusivity at events across California. Unfortunately, even unicorns were not spared from the pandemic years and Charlie needs YOUR help to go home one last time.

While our magic is plentiful, our cash flow is limited. Your donation will help Charlie the art car drive to and around Black Rock City without breaking down as well as renewing his fire and safety systems. Charlie was built on a 1979 Chevy flatbed. It's extremely difficult and hard to find mechanics available who actually have the knowledge to work on a truck from this time period. As a safety, since we have spent years dealing with Charlie breaking down at the burn, on the way to the burn, and on the way home from the burn, we've decided to tow him so he can make his last stand in BRC in style! If we can get these items covered, the next step is to put him in a new dress with extra sparkles.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 over the next 3 months. We will be continuing our live events in the Spring and Summer but we are still watching and moving with the ever-changing pandemic right now. We also know there are magical beings far and wide who want to participate in Charlie's journey home so we decided to use this platform as a way of reaching out to our community.
