While our family was in Mexico for my brother-in-law’s wedding, Chad, my soon-to-be father-in-law, became very ill. Just two days before we were supposed to return home, he was hospitalized with severe pancreatitis. Things quickly became more serious when we learned he also has necrosis of the pancreas. The hospital in Mexico required us to pay a large amount upfront for his treatment, even though we have insurance, and they are now asking for even more to continue his care.
Our biggest hope is to get Chad a medevac flight back to the United States so he can receive the care he needs closer to home. The costs are overwhelming, and both Chad and his spouse are unable to work while they are in Mexico. On top of the medical bills, there are many other expenses that need to be covered during this difficult time, and Chad faces a long road to recovery.
We believe in the power of prayer and, at the very least, we are asking for prayers for our family. If you are able to help in any way, your support would mean the world to us. Thank you for keeping Chad and our family in your thoughts during this incredibly challenging time.
