A Life Taken Too Soon – Help the James & Cameron Families

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected loss of Cassandra James, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Cassandra passed away at just 34 years old, leaving behind her two beautiful children, Ian (16) and Allison (10), along with her loving mother Christina, stepfather John, and sisters Jessica, Kayla, Kaitlyn, and Lydia. Originally from Bay City, Michigan, Cassandra had spent the last decade moving between Michigan and Florida—torn between being close to her family and her deep love for Florida. She was fun, caring, and full of life. With a sharp wit and a big heart, she had an incredible sense of humor and always knew how to make others laugh.

On the morning of August 14th, Cassandra’s family received a devastating call: she was in the ICU in Florida, and the hospital urged immediate family to come as soon as possible. She had been diagnosed with severe pneumonia and GERD. While the medical team did everything they could to keep her comfortable and stable, Cassandra was fighting multiple infections, multi-organ failure, and extremely low blood pressure.

Despite all efforts—including a final attempt with dialysis to treat the acidosis in her blood—Cassandra's condition worsened. After many hours, it was determined that her body could no longer endure the fight. Surrounded by love, she passed away peacefully.
