Hello, my name is Samantha. I never thought my partner and I would ever land ourselves in this devastating position. Last week, in the early hours of Thursday morning, my dog Bruno, who was 9 years old, was tragically taken from us after being hit by a car. As many people know, I’m not fortunate enough to have my own children, so my four-legged animals are my family. This loss has taken so much out of our hearts, and from everyone who loved him. There will never be words to express how much love there was for Bruno.
Bruno is now up there playing with his brother in doggy heaven, not suffering, which is all that matters at the end of the day. We’ve decided to cremate him, but as we all know, times are tough right now and things are expensive. I am currently out of work due to a foot injury, so the funds for this cremation are out of the question for me. I never thought I would have to ask for help—it takes a lot to be vulnerable like this. If anybody would like to donate to Bruno’s cremation so his ashes can come home to his loving family—Joshua, me, and his little brother Roscoe—we would be incredibly grateful and thankful.
This experience has made us realize how fragile life can be. Hold your loved ones close, always check in, and say 'I love you.' Thank you, everybody, for your support.
