Help Bring Boxing Back to Timmins

For those who don't know, my name is Kyle Sauve. I was born and raised here in Timmins, Ontario. I was introduced to boxing at the age of 15 years old by my grandfather. The decision to join and see it through was one of the greatest decisions of my life. Boxing taught me discipline, determination, pride, respect for myself and others, teamwork, selfcare, confidence, the list goes on. These lessons to me are essential to introduce to our youth, which is my main goal for my boxing club.

Boxing is a big part of Timmins history, from early years with Red Mustato, to the Timmins Boxing Club with Shawn and Jeanette Johnstone. Many individuals I know personally have benefitted from both timelines in Timmins boxing history. The attributes these clubs pass on to individuals help to create great role models within our community. I only hope to continue this tradition and to make it grow.

I made this GoFundMe page in hopes to get some support with some of the start up costs to get the boxing club running. The club will provide the community of Timmins, with self defense and competitive classes for all age groups. The money fundraised will go towards securing a location, boxing equipment which includes boxing gloves, mats, headgear, boxing ring, and supplies. I aim to give back to our community once our club is running.
