Help bring Blacksburg Bagels into its new home

For several years now, I've been working to find a kitchen to become the new home for Blacksburg Bagels. The new kitchen will allow us to move out of a shared space and into our own. A spot with the right equipment to bake the extensive product line we've developed. A slick giant mixer, fancy ovens, sturdy tables, and tall stacks of sheet pans. Blacksburg Bagels will not be a restaurant, but we will have a retail space where you can pick up all the same things you can get at the farmer's market. There will also be a selection of grab-and-go food that will include items from us and other local food producers in the area. We will also continue to support our local markets, restaurants, shops, and food pantries.

After many maybes, almosts, and not quites, I've found myself just a few steps away from opening the doors. The plan was to be in place before the summer, then before the fall, before Thanksgiving, before Christmas, before Spring break, and then, who knows. The path has not been ideal, but the end is in sight.

Winter is a hard time for us to manage this final push financially, so I've accepted the advice of many of you and decided to post this request to help us get everything finished. I hope to collect enough to cover our immediate expenses and restore the savings buffer I had in place before we started.
