Yorozuya Bham is a climbing gym project located in Birmingham, Alabama inspired by Japan's climbing culture. Led by avid climber and local chef Zachary Schaffer, Yorozuya is focused on fostering the climbing community through technical and powerful setting.

Yorozuya provides not just a space for climbing, but also a welcoming environment for community gatherings and dining. Established to support climbers of all levels, our goal is to expand its offerings to cater to the evolving needs of the Birmingham community.

Initially, Yorozuya will be a climbing and training gym set to replace and improve upon the foundations that Birmingham Boulders/First Avenue Rocks established. With the success of the gym-space, we will be able to expand Yorozuya into providing exceptional meals and drink throughout the day to the local community.

Friends, if we may be real with you, opening a business is hard; opening a climbing gym even more, and especially so in these financially strained times. Birmingham has a beloved community of climbers, and with any help towards our goal and future aim to diversify the gym-space, it may just work out for decades to come.
