Growing up, I spent almost 7 years working in retirement communities. I watched people laugh, fall in love, argue, make friends, lose friends, and continue living full, complicated lives long after the rest of the world had stopped paying attention. Those experiences completely changed the way I viewed aging. Too often, older adults are portrayed in film as background. Rarely do we get stories that celebrate the humor, resilience, friendships, and humanity that continue well into our later years.
That's why I wrote BINGO, NOT DEAD YET. This mockumentary series follows a group of retirement home residents who prove that life doesn't stop at seventy. Through comedy, heartfelt relationships, and unforgettable characters, the series explores friendship, forgiveness, second chances, and the idea that it's never too late to find purpose or start over.
Every donation will go directly toward bringing this project to life, helping cover production expenses such as equipment, locations, production design, wardrobe, props, and most importantly- meals for our cast and crew. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us create a professional production and provide the best possible experience for everyone involved.
As an independent filmmaker, this project is incredibly personal to me. It's more than just a comedy—it's a celebration of a generation whose stories deserve to be told. Thank you for believing in independent filmmaking and for helping us share a story that reminds us all that growing older doesn't mean the adventure is over. We're not dead yet.
