Help Bring Ben Home and Support His Recovery
If you’re reading this, you and I share at least two things in common: a love for skiing (or you know someone who does!) and a soft spot for the legend that is Ben Clubb.
Ben’s Story
On December 21st, 2025, while skiing in Courchevel, Ben suffered an unwitnessed fall that resulted in a severe traumatic brain injury and a C7 spinal fracture. He was rushed to Grenoble Hospital by helicopter, where he remained in an induced coma until the New Year. Since then, Ben has shown incredible strength and determination to pull through the most critical stage – but the journey has only just started. Ben is now fully extubated, breathing with minimal oxygen support, and showing movement in all four limbs. Whist already responding to requests to ‘squeeze a hand’ or ‘ blink for yes and no questions’. He also manages the odd wink and thumbs up so our Ben is still in there!
But Ben still faces a mountain of challenges. His spinal fracture is stable and currently requires no further intervention, but his cognitive recovery has only just started with the full extent of his injuries only becoming clear as his recovery continues.
Why does Ben need you need your help now?
Until now, we’ve sent love and support through his close family and his girlfriend, Ella. Now, Ben needs more than good wishes—he needs our help to get him home and start specialist rehabilitation.
Unfortunately, Ben’s insurance does not fully cover repatriation to the UK or specialist rehab and equipment that he’ll need to get back on his feet and work towards independence again.
