Barbara was embarking on a long-awaited family trip with her husband John, married for 38 years, her son John, her loyal companion Thor, her brother Louis, sister-in-law Linda, and their furry baby Nollie. On December 21, they set out in an RV from New York to Florida to visit her brother John and sister-in-law Anna for a much-needed vacation. As they made their way south, Barbara began to feel severely ill and was taken to a hospital in North Carolina. She was diagnosed with a serious case of flu A and pneumonia. Despite a week of fighting for her life in the CCU, Barbara tragically passed away on December 30th at 8:12pm, far from home and her loved ones.
Barbara was a born again Christian who devoted her life to God. As a dedicated member of her church, she became an ordained minister and was a cancer survivor. She was a wonderful mother to all of God's children, always offering love and support to those around her. Her faith and compassion touched many lives, and her absence leaves a deep void in our hearts.
Because this happened so far from home, we are facing an uphill battle to fulfill Barbara's wish to be buried close to her family. The unexpected medical costs, transportation to bring her home, RV rental, hotel stays for five family members, and funeral home fees have created a significant financial burden. Any donation, no matter how small, will help cover these costs and bring Barbara home to rest. Thank you for your love, prayers, and support during the hardest time of our lives. Angela, John Jr., Michael, and Amy would especially appreciate help to bring our mom home and support our father in giving her a proper burial. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity.
