On June 12th, my father Baldemar Jimenez was detained in San Diego after a long, hot summer shift. He was simply sitting under a tree, trying to find a cool place to rest while waiting for the bus. Baldemar has lived in the United States since he was 12 years old, working tirelessly at countless jobs to provide for our family. He is the proud father of four daughters, and we are all desperate to have him home with us again.

This sudden detention has turned our world upside down. We never imagined we would be in this position, but we are doing everything we can to fight for his freedom and keep our family together. We have hired an immigration attorney to help us navigate the legal process, but the costs are overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward covering Baldemar’s bond and the attorney fees needed to give him a fair chance to be heard and treated with dignity.
