Bring Back Tacos at The Mexican Deli in Croton
Donation protected
A little over a year ago, Guadalupe and Rodolfo Rebollar opened The Mexican Deli at 191 Grand Street in Croton-on-Hudson as a place to showcase Guadalupe's famous tamales. Very quickly, it became a go-to spot for authentic, delicious, and affordable Mexican street-style food, with what many consider to be the best tacos in the Hudson Valley.
Unfortunately, due to some commercial kitchen code compliance issues, in September they were forced to cease all hot food production until the necessary renovations are completed.
The costs to install a commercial fire suppression system are estimated at over $12,000. Food service is a vital part of The Mexican Deli's business, and the Rebollars are anxious to do the work and get back to providing it. The amount, however, is quite significant, particularly given their recent launch which required a substantial portion of their life savings.
This fundraiser is an opportunity for our community to support Guadalupe and Rodolfo, help off-set their renovation costs, and show this hard-working entrepreneurial couple that Croton not only values their delicious food, but it also values those who contribute to enriching the cultural melting pot of our community.
